Before I call the engineer out when I opened the fridge door the light blew and the power has gone off.I have checked the fuse and supply and it’s ok.Does the bulb act as a fused link? or is there another fuse internally?thanks 😕

grr. have u tried a fuse? it might work

if that dosnt work, then it might well have blown the pcb

but id just put a fuse in it and see if it starts up first (minus the light of course)

    unfortunately yes

like i said, if uve put fuse in and it doesnt work, it’ll be the pcb

did u leave it a few hours after the fuse was changed?

I don’t have an extended warranty but it’s still under the 5 yr parts warranty however Hotpoint won’t be out till wednesday and it will cost £89.99 call out.Any better solutions? I have posted a note on the spares wanted forum for a PCB
