Hello,
I’ve used this forum before for fixes and I’d like to thank all the contributors, it’s excellent.
But this is my first post.
Our Hotpoint FFA71 Fridge/Freezer was working fine – but now the fridge has started to ice up and freeze stuff.
My first thought would be thermostat, but I gather from other posters on this forum that the thermistors are embedded and, therefore, irreplaceable.
All drain holes are clear and all working noises sound okay.
Hotpoint tell me that (as it’s under 5 years old) they can send someone out for £109 (&VAT) to replace faulty parts. I just thought I’d post on here first to see if anyone has had a similar experience with this model and if a simpler fix is round the corner?
Thanks.
Regards, shd
