Afternoon, my Father in Law has an FFA74G that is freezing in the fridge and leaving freezer warm. It has a diverter that seems to work ok (if you switch unit off/on it will start to cool in freezer then it switches to fridge, then runs all the time compressor never stops and frost in fridge gets thick and all over, I strongly believe it is not a system issue. I’ve checked freezer defrost sensors and heaters all ok. I suspect the issue is either module or fridge evap sensor. Does anyone have any info on these sensors? i.e Foamed in?Resistance values? Can it be bypassed forcing an “emergency mode” if available?
Or is the module likely to be an issue?

    Any help gratefully received!

Divertor valves very rarely fail, i’d guess a system fault just like its brother and sister the FFA70 and FFA71 they are prone to internal leaks.

The diverter does function, although i suspect the fridge takes priority over the freezer. If it were low on gas I’d expect the frost pattern on the fridge to be on the high side not all over as it is. The thickening frost would also allow fridge NTC to register a very cold temp (hence the freezing temp) then it would divert to the freezer which is not happening it seems. Hence my NTC or PCB diagnosis. I suspect a duff or out of range NTC is most likely but will check the readings when I next get over there.
