I have the above frost free fridge freezer and it is driving me mad with its constant beeping……… every time I load it after a shop or have the door open looking for something for dinner it begins to bleep and can go on for hours and hours…….. it began freezing up the “fan” from the moment I bought it and the engineer has got so fed up coming out that he has now shown me how to take it apart to free up and de-ice the thing ! It is time consuming and I have 3 disabled children and 2 others. He suggested I did not put any food in the bottom of the fridge where the “cold air” is blown in, I don’t, but it is so annoying to “lose” that amount of space….
I am cross as this was not a cheap item… anybody out there got any ideas ? I think I should write to Hotpoint and try to get a different model. If I had known that “frost free” meant all this I would gladly go back to my old hotpoint and the 2 seperate units !!!
Thanks for reading x Any help appreciated 😕

    Hi Julie,

Do you think you could give us a little more information

    1) What setting do you have it set to

    2) Can you tell us if the door seal is making full contact all the way round

    3) due you use the fast or super freeze option for prolonged periods of time

The answers to this will enable us to help you better.

    Regards

    Del

    Thanks for replying Del,

The fridge is set at 6* and the Freezer is -25c. I have checked the seals and they all seem fine as its not that old.

I have never used the f/super freeze or holiday mode options as I worry about messing it’s little brain up anymore than it already is 😛

I empty the whole fridge out though if I go away as I simply don’t trust it, I have lost so much food in it over the past year.

It’s very kind of you to try and help.

    Best Wishes

    Julie
