ParticipantOur hotpoint FFAAxx fridge freezer has the internal light flashing on and off repeatedly when we open the door.
I have searched for a reason for this but cannot find anything, can anyone help?
what is wrong with it?am happy to give more information if I have it, just ask.
thanks in advance!

thanks for your reply Dave. The full model is: hotpoint Aquarius HBNF5517B.
I have paid more attention the flashing since my post and it seems to be 3 quick flashes with a clicking noise per flash and the fridge motor stops when the light goes out, after the flashing the light comes back on and the fridge sounds likes running normally.

Moderatorsounds like a board fault
from looking up the board it seems its a simple power suppy on the board and is probably the power supply capacitor. an easy job if you can solder
or you could obtain a new board
would need close up pics of the board to tell you waht to changethere is no 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} guarentee I am right as i cant be certain without seeing it
