    Engineer has been out to this and it has an ice builp up at the top of the evaporator round the fan(not at bottom) Is there a modified cover on this or? Any ideas please? Cheers Kez

    Hotpoint FFM70 f/freezer ice build up top of evaporator

    Locate the defrost sensor from the bottom to the top of the evaporator as long as there is no air ingress. This will cause a slightly longer defrost time.
    Have you checked for the heater working ect ?
