Hotpoint FFM90……..

I have the Hotpoint ffm90 fridge freezer which is 2 years old, it has just started to make a humming/buzzing noise and I am worried something is wrong, it hasnt done this before.

When I open the fridge the noise stops and if I open the freezer and press the back part (behind the shelves) it stops but starts again when I take my hand away.

Any ideas???????

Well, it’s certainly the fan motor that is causing the noise.

It will either be caused by excessive ice build up that the fan is hitting or the fan motor itself, the former the more likely.

I would call an engineer to check as if the motor stops altogether the colling process will not work correctly.

Try repairs@ and the directories for a UKW listed engineer 😀
