HotPoint FFP 187:Frezzer not frezzing as it should.

Hi Eveyone 🙂

Im sure we have a problem with our freezer we bought some different ice cream and it was very soft ok as it was ice cream we hadn’t had before we thought it could be the way it is,But we bought some ice cream that we have from time to time,And that to is very soft cold but soft not hard to scoop out,Does this model have a problem with freezing?Ive just put some water in the ice cube box just to see what happens how long should it take to make ice cubes?

Ive just read somewhere machines can build up ice and become faulty and if that happens you can manual defrost,So how do you do that put hot water in a bowl in the fridge/freezer,But that wouldn’t make sence because its got no ice on the inside being frost free.

if it is frozen up you wouldn’t see it inside as the evaporator is concealed.
Its certainly worth trying defrost first, unplug it and leave doors open with some towels around it for at least 48 hours then try again

Strange it freezes food ok and water but ice cream&lollys are a no go
