Hi all, I’ve been having a bit if a problem with my (so called) frost free fridge freezer.
Over the past few months it seems to be developing lots of ice (and frost), but it’s as if the defrost function is working but the melted water flows out of the vents and into the freezer compartment!?
I’ve had the back off and checked the resistance of the element which seemed fine at 300 or so ohms. The drain plug was solid with ice so I cleared that, all seemed ok, but back from holiday yesterday and loads of ice again!
I don’t understand how the ice can form if the element is (presumably) working by melting ice but not draining – even though the element runs along the bottom near drain hole!
Any experience or advice will be welcomed with open arms!
Fridge and freezer are both cold.
Cheers
