Hotpoint fhp motor 1604822

    Hi Guys,

    can anyone help with a copy of the motor plug wiring diagram for the above replacement motor? Thanks in advance.

    Looking from the front of the machine (rear of the motor) the original motor had pin 1 on the right. The fhp has pin 1 on the left.
    Rewiring the plug to the new plug is a case of reversing them.
    (Some have been cutting the key way off the plug, turning it upside down and plugging into the new motor.)

    Hi Brian,

    thanks for the prompt reply.I couldn’t quite remember how they were wired.I used to have the sheet that came with the new motor, when they supplied the plug with the motor.You have to order the plug seperately now.

    I haven’t used the replacement plug for years, just snip off the locating lugs and reverse. One other way to ID the correct way is to identify the two wires going to the tacho on the new motor and match them up with the connectors that went to the tacho on the old motor.
