Hotpoint First Edition HVL211 – No water?

Hello,
Went to start the washing machine, turned the machine on (Power LED lit), pressed the start button, the 4 status LED’s flashed as normal at the start of the cycle, then the pre-wash LED came on solid (as it should), normally, after a couple of seconds you can hear the water pouring in, but it’s not doing anything at all – faulty water pump?
Do not think there is anything wrong with our water supply.

Check the tap is turned on first, then check for any kinks in inlet hose.
Whils the machine is out, try it on a wash again, and see if you can bear a humming noise from where the inlet hose connects, you can usually feel a vibration if you touch the threaded part of the hose also…

If you dont hear or feel any noise, then its your inlet solenoid thats faulty.
