    Afternoon

I’ve got to replace a tub on an AQ113F497E Hotpoint washing machine & just realised its got springs holding the concrete weight in place rather than screws.

Will I need a tool to remove them?

Just in case you don’t know what I mean this Connect part number is what I think the springs will look like….

    Cheers

    Tim.

    Cheers Jim.

That’s £15 less made on that job.

Didn’t want to upset you by mentioning the cost. 🙁

I got my pal who works in an engineering factory to make one for me, works a treat.

    It arrived yesterday.
    What a poor quality tool.
My apprentice master would have scrapped it
In the blink of an eye if I had turned that out…
    £15 + VAT. Daylight robbery.

Just what i needed to hear! Got one on order AND its even more expensive.

To add insult to injury, attempting to remove them – unenlightened! – virtually took out my needle nosed pliers. More cost!

Also, isn’t this a scam? Designing it so independents have to buy a special tool from them.

Thanks for the part number 😀

Also get this; the sump hose has a chamber on it which clogs up BEFORE IT GETS TO THE FILTER!!!!

What a clever way to ruin the bearings.
