I have a Hotpoint Mistral Frost-free fridge/freezer. Its about 6 years old. The model is FF72.

About a week ago the fridge temp reading was in excess of +18 degrees when it should be no more than +6. Following advice I found on this website I hoovered/dusted out the bottom of the fridge/freezer (behind the grill) and this got it back to normal for about 3 days when the temp went back up to +22 degrees.

I have now defrosted the whole thing for 48 hours (also as advised on the website) and switched it back on earlier tonight but this seems to have had no effect and the fridge temp is still very high. The freezer has worked normally throughout this time.

Any ideas what to try next?

By the way the fridge type is R134A

    Thanks
