This fridge freezer is over cooling in the fridge compartment. It goes down to -20 and the compressor stays running all the time. I have swapped the PCB from another good working FF of the same model and the symptoms remain the same. So it would seem the thermister is faulty. However I not sure where it is or if it replicable on this Hotpoint. It suspect it behind the foam. Does anybody have any experience in finding and replacing the thermister in these. Also a part number would be helpful if it’s available as a spare. Thanks in advance for any help offered. Dave EZ appliances

Got the same issue on a FFA97 and posted same question here, it seems the Thermistors are embedded in the appliance and is a common fault.
Its best to throw back to Hotpoint as they have a 5 yr parts warranty although not sure if they get a replacement after paying the £95.00 ish callout charge, then again I bet hotpoint would still be making money on that piece of sh8t.
At least the chinese rubbish is repairable. 😆

That’s a shame as its a nice piece of kit to look at. Its actually a stock item for our shop. I have several of them with gas leaks too. So I am going to cut around inside the fridge on a scrap one and find the thermister. Once found I will measure out its exact location and post the results so others can find it to. Nothing to loose and certainly not paying Hotpoint £95 to come and tell me its Knackered javascript:emoticon(‘:(‘)
