    My Hotpoint HM315NI fridge/freezer is too cold on the fridge and freezer. It has always been set at lowest setting 1 on temperature regulating knob, but food at bottom of fridge is now sometimes frozen.
    Any response appreciated.

    Is changing the thermostat a relatively easy job for competent DIY man ?

    Yes it is straight forward. I just changed one but it made no difference. The motor keeps running even when the temp inside the fridge is less than zero on a fridge thermometer. I have tried 2 new thermostats.
