    Hello,

    I have just bought a second hand Hotpoint RLA34 fridge. The fridge is not getting cold and I just want to check there isn’t anything I can do before I send it back.

    The fridge has apparently been off for 3 months but was working fine before that. It was transported back on its side and was left up upright over night before turning on.

    The light comes on inside and the compressor at the back is warm but not making any noise. It’s been on for two days now and if anything it’s warm inside.

    There’s no freezer on this model, there’s no fan on the back or underside and everything is very clean.

    Any ideas?

    Was it laid down when delivered ??

    I lay it down (on it’s side) to put it in the back of the car and then drove for about an hour like that. Took it out and stood it upright as soon as I got back.
