    I think the lamp holder is dead in my hotpoint RLAV21 Fridge. I tried different bulbs and the light will not work. Can someone give me some instructions on how to take out and replace the lampholder?

    It is best left to an engineer to fit as it means disturbing the thermostat housing.

    If you break the thermostat then you will end up with more problems.

    I think the switch and lampholder are intergrated because looking at a replacement type I have seen on the internet it states lampholder and switch.
