    Hi,

    My Hotpoint Future FZM84 Frost Free Upright Freezer (approx’ 4 years old) has developed a problem whereby only the lower half of the unit reaches freezing temperature. The compessor appears to be working ok and the “Fast Freeze” also appears to function other than freezing the whole unit. Despite that, nothing in the top half of the freezer actually freezes, it can only be described as being “as cold as a fridge” even with the temperature control wound to the maximum. There are no apparent leaks anywhere. Anyone with any ideas as to what the problem may be?

    Switch off for 24 hours to make sure no frost blockage in evapoprator.Switch on again and if still the same you likey have refrigerant loss somewhere,not easy to find or repair.
