hotpoint Gas dryer

sorry mate just email me this as i dont do gas is there anything he can look for before calling local gas man?

Hotpoint Dryer Model: DDL 2650BFLWH (gas dryer)?

In order to get the dryer to run I have to hold the start switch on repeatedly until the igniter fires. Do I replace the igniter, start switch or both? Or is there something else wrong?

It’s an American Hotpoint I think, certainly not a UK model.
