Hotpoint H7T911TMXH not chilling below 5 degrees

I’m currently using a Hotpoint H7T 911T MX H, everything was working well until a week ago there was an intermittent power outages and all of sudden my Fridge section is now stuck at 5° temperature, if set it to 2°c or 7°c it doesn’t work but temperature control displays all right.

when you set it at another temp does it

A not work at at all and get warmer till it reaches room temp

B stays at 5 degrees

well that sounds like a board or control issue

try turning off then give it 2 or 3 mins then turn on. these units are effectivly a computer so thinking a total controlled re boot may help

I have already turned it off for even 3 to 4 hours but still same.

does sound like a control board issue

bad news, these boards need to be programmed. it may just need re programming or need replacing

you cant buy a pre programmed board so its a manufacturer only fit or someone who has bought the programming gear
