Hi, does anyone know how to use the hotpoint hardware key? I bought one but there are no instructions with it and when i plug it in to my own machine all i can get it to do is put the machine into test mode. I was hoping to be able to configure new pcb’s and if poss change the configuration of a board that is from a different model number. I see there is a serial port on the rear but not sure what lead/software i need.
Any help would be fab….thanks.

thats as good as it gets. test prog is useful though if a bit erratic, ie rushing through the heat test in 10 seconds flat but running a 10 minute (or whatever I would have given up way before then) spin test. who knows what the serial plug does….or the mysterious second button.
to configure the cards you need the smart card reader and appropriate smart card. Why they couldnt make one device do both is a mystery….no it isnt, of course it means we have to by essentialy the same thing twice.
