    hi,
not sure if this should be in technical or trade spares.

    WD860P
ordered a new dryer heater box complete with motor, connect part 5045173337367.
it came no worries ,but it has a hole in the unit just above the motor .it looks as if a blanking plug or something must go in it.
any one know why this is there and if they do a plug for it, surely fluff and hot air will escape otherwise.
    thanks.

If this is the small hole about quarter inch dia above fan, it’s been discussed a few times before. The purpose apparently is to allow water to dribble down onto the module and cause it to blow up. 😆
Those less cynical believe it has some venting function.
    Mike.

no…. the heater box is generic and fits all models

on later models there is a fluff filter, with a flushing valve

if it doesnt have one, fill it with silicone
