Good Morning Folks,
We were called out to this appliance by a letting agency who had a new tenant move in and found the fridge freezer dead, upon inspection we found the control module had blown, it looks like water damage(in my opinion it is a design fault as the module is just below the fridge compartment and any water leakage out of the fridge with say a blocked defrost drainage hole or a over zealous cleaning company will go straight into the module compartment). I ordered a new module from Connections fitted it and the appliance was still dead as the preferable Dodo. I checked and we definitely had 240V to the board so after inspecting all the connections, I came to the conclusion it is a faulty board ???. I held my breath and ordered a replacement which arrived this morning, I fitted it and it is still dead as a Dodo, now looking through the list of spares from Connections I notice that there is a Smart Card Low End Adaptor listed for this model. Now the penny has dropped and it looks like this module needs to be programmed even though the listing for the C00305839 module makes no mention of needing to be programmed. can anybody confirm that this is the case and it needs to be programmed up, and is anybody willing to programme the module for me for a small fee, as this is now a love job.
