Hotpoint hinge reversal on Trio?

Hi

Hotpoint Trio fridge freezer model FFU3DW

We need to change the hinge over on the freezer. We asked for the parts from Hotpoint to do this and they have sent us 5 bits of plastic: 2 blanking plugs/2 hinge bushes and a middle hinge bottom.
The parts came from Indesit? and there are no metal hinges included? We can’t see how the parts they sent are going to help as the metal hinges do not seem to be interchangeable.

I can’t find any info on this model (it has two side by side doors on the frige part and one on the freezer)

I can’t find a manual for it online I’m afraid. I’ll have a look tomorrow morning when I’m back in the shop unless anyone else jumps in first.

Hmmm, no sign of an FFU3DW on the Hotpoint web site but it does appear on Partfinder.

There is a manual available for an FFU4DW, it looks like exactly the same unit, but is listed as 2013, the FFU3DW is listed as 2012. Sadly there does not appear to be any instructions in the user manual for door reversal. 🙁

Thanks Don, I do have a manual (of sorts) and there is nothing in there about changing the hinges.

There is a diff between the models, in that the FFU4DW has two doors at the top and two draws at the bottom. The FF3UDW has two doors at the top and one at the bottom.

Hi. Was this ever resolved? Did you manage to reverse the freezer door on this model?
I’ve just bought the ffu3dw fridge freezer and really want to reverse the freezer door but even hotpoint don’t seem to be sure how to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THis is possible as the freezer door is a reversible door. What you need to do is order a right central hinge of a Ffu4dk this will have 1 upward pin on you also need to order left hand bottom hinge, this works as I have changed mine around hope this helps
