    Hi

I have a 6 year old hotpoint HM315NI integrated fridge freezer. I have 2 issues, which now doubt are linked and despite checking the forum, there is no conclusive answer.

The freezer in my opinion is too cold, it’s frosting up. The fridge is very cold at the bottom and water keeps filling up under the 2 salad storage units. I have to clean this out weekly. I have checked the drain plug at the back of the fridge and this is not full up. At the top of the fridge its much warmer.

I have a feeling that it may be the fan or thermostat, but not really sure. It’s a fair old job as no doubt I will have to remove the whole unit as it’s integrated. I have also noticed a frost build up on the back internal wall of the fridge.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

How do you know the freezer is to cold? have you used a thermometer to check? it should be in the area of -18 ish
I would suggest that you do a complete 48 hour de-frost and then see how it operates after that before you go any further.
