    Hi there
The entire back wall of my Hotpoint HSZ3022VL below the Pure Wind unit is freezing up and so are my fridge contents. This model is an integrated larder fridge with a small freezer above. Probably an 80/20 split or similar. I was about to buy a new thermostat since the compressor was running 24/7 and that’s what has been at fault with other freezers I’ve had before – but this one has an electronic thermostat (~£86) so I paused before jumping in. Having checked the temperature setting (6 degrees), checked door seals, rearranged food to let air circulate etc. all to no avail, when searching the problem I came across an article on this site (http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/fix-it-yourself/specific-faults/4061-beko-fridge-freezer-thermistors) that referenced a similar problem with Beko fridge freezers in which it was stated that “The small board…doesn’t do much of anything at all other than offer a user input to regulate the temperature. That is all it does.” That got me thinking! Could it be the evaporator sensor or the fridge air sensor instead? Although the article was Beko specific, I don’t imagine the underlying principles of fridge freezer operation differ greatly between manufacturers. However, I can’t find either of these sensors as a spare part for my Hotpoint. Can anyone suggest my next move?
