Hotpoint HV344UK probs

This beast is stuck with the top left-hand LED lit. The display numericals don’t fully illuminate though the connections seem fine (the rest of the display well bright enough and so too are the icons) The On/Off button has no effect and turning it on and off at the wall switch just brings it back up again.

Customer informs me that prior to this current failure the machine skipped the the entire wash programme without filling. So I guess this must be Hotpoint’s latest weired and wacky new style of error codes…dunno? Machine is not that old (Date code 80 – no idea how old mind?)

Any help much appreciated. 🙂
