ParticipantHi we have a hotpoint hv6l105 and a few days ago in cycle it decided to stop and all lights across the board came on (not flashing just constant). I turned it off and after a while turned it back on and seemed fine, it did it again yesterday and this time it will not do anything except have all the lights on the control panel constantly on and the water left in. I did think it was blocked and I have found a coin and a nail- what was jamming the ball ( do not ask) what I have taken out but still makes no change. From what I have just read I take it is a component problem somewhere? Thanks for any help

Model number incorrect. 😉
When you say ‘ball’ do you mean the eco ball located in the sump hose under the drum?
You make no mention of actually checking the drain pump filter. ❓

Hi, Its definetley “HOTPOINT HV6L105.” I have checked the drain pump filter (at the bottom right of the machine and it was clean) and sorry yes the eco ball had the nail half wedged in it.

Ah, HV6l looks different on my screen to HV6L. 😉
How did you get at the hose to remove the nail, did you lie the machine flat or tip it over?

I laid it on its side and then went from underneath.

A strong possibility that the pressure switch will need resetting ( at the very least ) 😥 .
All the lights on is not a recognised error code.

Not the easiest thing to clear, and you may still have an underlying problem.

one other thing I didnt mention is that when the washing machine has electricity going to it you cannot switch it on or off on the control panel does that make any difference to problems?

Err, how can you not switch it off if you can’t switch it on in the first place??????
The machine is basically 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit, known for very unreliable electronics, might be time to take advantage of your five year parts guarantee.
