    The red light is on continuously and for sure the freezer is at room temp. The fridge is working fine and apperas to respond okay to adjustments to the thermostat.

    According to the manual the model is either a FF07 or a FF64.

    All advice gratefully received.

    Sounds like a gas fault and one for an engineer to sort out.

    The compressor is filled with esther oil, would the same diagnosis still apply?

    …and just as a matter of interest, how is the temprature in the freezer mainated below that of the fridge with a single compressor?
