My fridge freezer unit was running continuously (at a setting it has been ok on for years) and icing up until I turned the thermostat down and then refused to come on at any setting. ‘Tinkering’ (by opening up the housing but no more) with the thermostat has got it running again but it seems flaky.
Is this replaceable as a DIY item? Where does the metal tube go to?
I had some difficulty finding the number because the nameplate is illegible but, from the instruction booklet, I deduce that it is either model 8321 or 8322. If they are not both the same thermostat can you tell me what the difference is and I’ll see if I can work it out.
Thanks for the part number.
The question now is, if the fridge is running continuously but not seeming to be very cold, will replacing the thermostat help much?
Perhaps I should bite the bullet and look for a new fridge. 🙁
