hi could anyone tell me exactly where the drain pump triac is located please.

not mant people will know but
1 why ?
2 above the transformer are a row of blue surge protectors (varistors) each one is connected to a traic. it will prob be one of them but dont know which one serves the pump. disconnect pump and buzz it back

Hi Dave. Thanks for your reply. I have a hotpoint aqualtis and there is no power going to the pump. I read a post from a guy a few years back with the same fault and he said he replaced the drain pump triac and now has a working machine.

it would be very rare for a triac just to fail and nothing happen
does the pump not start even for a sec or two ?

normally one of two things happen
1 pump fails and blows triac
2 triac fails and pump never stops
up to now never seen a failure where it just does not fire ( but there is always a first time

anyway as i said before quickest way to find it is disconnect pump and buzz wires back to the board
