ParticipantHi all,
Were getting quiet a few of these coming through, apart from the obvious blockages/pump, does anyone know what seems to cause the lack of feed to the pump in cases where its not related to drainages or defective pumps? i had put these down to the pcb but due to how many were getting can it be caused by other components? ie pressure switch etc
ThanksSimon

ParticipantHi Dave,
I never anticipated it would make a difference per model or range of Hotpoints, i will get a few examples of the models were struggling with at the moment tomorrow, they all behave in the same way, drain intermittently then the feed stops to the pump, they throws up f05, continuity across the pumps, absolutely no blockages… iv even swapped the pumps thinking the impellor might be sticking….
Thanks
Simon

ParticipantWasn’t it these machines that sometimes needed pressure switches recalibrating after a blockage? Something like a couple of litres of water added to the drum with it power off then turned on and set to drain.
Might be worth a try.September 18, 2023 at 8:12 am #487998electrofix
Moderatorsome of them did yes
add a few liters of vwater, set to drain and let it finish the progamme
but he pump has to start to effect this and i got the impression in this case it doesn’tDave

correct some of them only turn the pump on if they think there is water in the drum so its a valid observation. its all to do with saving the planet
