ParticipantHi there, I am looking for information as to where I may be able to find software to use with a module interface for the merloni machines? Any advice gratefully accepted! Thanks. Craig

the new machines now use a ‘smart card’ to programme the modules, you will be able to buy a smart card reader, when you order a module you then use the reader with the smart card for each machine to programme

Still does not help us (and Hotpoint’s LOYAL customers) with the previous models made in the last five years though, does it? π₯

Does the smart card come with the machine, the module or do you have to purchase a different smart card for each model range?

It is the Arcadia platform and I believe the machines are out now, though probably just as a trial.
you have a hardware key which will accept the smartcard but the card can only be used once(though i am sure someone will find a way round it)
dont know the cost of the smartcard or the adaptor sorry.February 2, 2008 at 11:04 am #241643hotpnt

they have been out in full production since at least last october, been to several already, oldest one was bought last october, as kiddo says, you have to buy the reader & then a smart card for every module you fit, so not really any different from ordering a module & eeprom, except you also have to buy the card reader!

I still don’t believe for one minute that Independents will have the option to buy this technology from Merloni π₯ if history is to go by, look at the “Wash Doctor” and eeprom programmer, not available to us and our customers (and Merloni’s) have to pay an extortionate price for a 10 p chip, as I said earlier “pigs fed and ready to fly”If I am wrong then whats the part numbers for these readers so as I can get one? π

KeymasterIt’s available from my friendβs one program which works thru hardware key (on all tree platforms: EVO1, EVO2, Low-End).
– read and write eeprom program
– saving in different formats (bin, eep, dat)
– Read /print wash statistics
– read and show last error
– Clear wash statistics
– see configuration machine (number of knobs, buttons and program positions settings etc.)I can send some picture with detail about what can you do…
It isn’t tested on Arcadia model, but I’ve heard that even don’t have more than six month old and are already in wrong working conditions). They are under guarantee but I expect to see one soon in my workshop…

Baron, I’d be very interested in further information on the program and the programmer you’re using.
Could you email me the info?
Thanks

Only Merloni’s hardware key & serial cable& this program (installed on computer/laptop). No other tools is needed (external programmer).
I will try Monday to post some pictures in order to be what can be done with program,… and how useful will be…
Only bad thing it’s availability to publish here pictures (jpg, bmp… format)… I will ask permission to Kwatt and send to him those pictures… -
