Jim.
Jim,
like others merloni machine it correspond one eeprom code (till now did you buyed eeprom chip with program in it), now to every machine is corresponding smart card code (looks like one public phone card)… BUT once is used it will be deleted (no longer useful) instead of chips which can be reuse…Baron

dont be silly, still several modules & a different smart card for every model, plus as baron says you need a new card for every one you programme!

“Smart Card Reader” is same for all models (new) but each machines will need for programming one “Smartcard” which is dedicated to one machine (serial number) like we have to order “memory chip” already programmed.
PS. I do not know if will be able to work on old models too…

Hi Guys,
Images of Adrian’s program that he kindly sent me, all open in a new window or tab due to the size so you can see what’s going on…

Program works with PCB thru hardware key (ex.95669) & serial cable.
But if you don’t have that “key” than you are able to work with eeprom program files (eep; bin; e2p; dat) already stored in your comp. like in above pictures.
For reading/writing eeproms you have to use other program (find for free on internet: like Ponyprog programer).
Other benefits: people can share those “memory’s” and will no need to give money on new eeproms
PS. SmartCard Reader works also with old PCB’s.February 6, 2008 at 9:49 am #241655Seamy

Not this one. Some of my colleges had work (create program) and therefore they shoud be rewarded (that was starting point of project).
None of original software (from Merloni) does not do that. Just some of parts of this program but in diferrent programs…Seamy wrote:Baron how big is the Program, can it be put on CD rom or DVD?
It can be send even on email so little is… just few Kbits… but after installation (unpacking) you should send one email with the file generated by itself. This file is for identification purpose and with activation code request you will receive activation code needed.
