ParticipantEvening Chaps/Chapesses,
I am currently looking to buy a new built in double oven and am on the verge of purchasing a Kenwood CKB300.
I am willing to spend between £500 and £600 and was wondering whether anyone had any advice as to whether or not the Kenwood is a good buy?
I was also looking at the Hotpoint DY46.I would appreciate any comments/advice!
Cheers,
Mungo 🙄

You’ve set yourself a good price point, so there is a reasonable selection of appliances to choose from. The Kenwood will be a badge job – they don’t make the appliance, so you will be paying a premium over the base machine it’s derived from. The Hotpoint may well be from the Creda factory, in which case it’s OK, or it may be from the Indesit plant, in which case the previous comment applies.
For the budget, you can afford to look at the Bosch/NEFF range, there are a couple of AEG’s which drop into the price mark, not to mention the usual suspects – Creda, Zanussi and Whirlpool.
Don will probably be on-line in the morning and be able to give you some more detailed info, but a bit of food for thought for now.

My reccomendation would be to go for the Bosch or Neff range. The build is better, functions and ease of use is superb. They now come with a two year guarantee subject to you registering appliance and the back up is good.
Try the Bosch HBN13M520B or HBN13M220B.
Or on the Neff side the U1422WOGB or the U1442WOGB.You can view them here http://www.boschappliances.co.uk
and http://www.neff.co.uk
Bear in mind if you are looking at stainless steel finish the price will increase by about £60 or so.Don

Cheers P45 & Don!
This interweb is fantastic!
It enables an everyday Joe (or Mungo!) to ask the advice of people who clearly know what they are talking about, at the touch of a keyboard!
Thanks guys, may speak again in the future!

If it is a double built in oven the Hotpoint is a Creda derived double oven as Indesit dont do doubles as a rule also the Indesit double oven is good value as it is realy a Creda made double hope this helps.
