Hotpoint larder fridge

Problem with a Hotpoint RLA85 larder fridge. Just over 2 years old.
Runs constantly and freezing contents, back of fridge covered in layer of ice. Simple, change stat job sorted I thought !!
Called back still with the same problem. Thermostat file pushes into a hole in cabinet insulation and is about a meter long. Pushed a temp probe into the hole to the same depth as the thermostat probe and get a reading of +21C .No wonder the stat is not operating!!
Anyone any ideas as to what is going on or is it a new fridge job,claiming under the 5 year parts guarantee

blocked evap would have thought, a fact of life in these days of cheap refrigeration. Landfill bound!

more than likely the clip that holds the phile on to the evaporator has come away so youve no way of knowing where the phile is ending up.
BER unless you could try digging away the foam and putting the phile on manually!
