ParticipantI have 2 yr old Hotpoint LFT04 Dishwasher that has developed a problem. When you start a wash you hear water pumping out, then it starts to fill. Water is sprayed from both of the arms and they both revolve however there is a grinding labouring noise that sounds like it’s coming from the bottom of the machine. The water also drains out ok and I have cleaned the filters. On a full length wash there was error code of a flashing eco light (4th from the left). Can you tell me what this error code is?
Thanks

Light 4 is supposed to point to a heater fault, the noise sounds like a faulty main circulation fault. Both very common failures on this low end Indesit made appliance I’m afraid. 🙁

Similar to my problem. How do I fix it?

I’m sorely tempted to be brutally honest and say buy something better. 😥
Remove the mains plug and check the heater for a start.

Main circulation pumps also fail for fun in these as well. 😥

OK. So, if it’s that, how do I fix / replace it?
Thanks!

Is it still under 5 years old, if so then the labour only ( parts free ) option from the Indesit Company may be your best option.
The motor alone is around £95.00. 😥
Motor is accessed from underneath, be sure to remove the mains plug if you intend to go further.

Sounds complex.. It’s a fitted machine so I doubt I’ll be able to get underneath it..
