Hotpoint LFT114 not cleaning

Hi all,
We’ve only recently moved in, so no idea how old the dishwasher is. Hotpoint LFT114 is the only model number I can find on it (built in)

the spray arms dont seem to be moving around, I’ve taken them off and washed them/checked for blockages. I’ve opened mid-cycle and there is definitely water coming through them, they just dont seem to be spinning around, but I can spin them around with pushing them, so doesnt seem to be any obstruction.

It doesnt sound quite right either when the cycle is in progress, and its not dissolving the tablet. It’s draining normally at the end of the cycle.
The temperature seems normal, as its hot and steam comes out when opened up.
Any ideas that I can easily check? I would’nt be able to replace the motors, i’d have to book someone to come in for that.

Not very old and not very good either. Its an Indesit under the skin, lots of main circulation pump failures on these leading to your exact symptoms.

Thanks for that, is it worth fixing once then buying a new unit if it fails again?

At around £85.00 for the motor or using Hotpoint(Indesit)s free parts, labour only option that will cost you £105.00, to repair a machine of very dubious quality, the choice is yours. 😉

indesit dif04 was £350 in b&q today. as a box. so bear that in mind if your considering replacing it, that spending any less than £350 and youll have the same or worse problems…
