    Hotpoint LFT114UK dishwasher

    Customer’s dishwasher not starting in spite of all the orange led’s lighting up and then the selected programme picked and the usual bleep with led on. Nothing, just sits there pretty and dead.

    No water found underneath to trip the float switch, drain pump can be hot wired to run and main circulation motor. Heating element seems to be ok and resistance measured.
    Any ideas what to look for next on these nasty dishwashers, nothing obviously blown on the pcb and main triac tested ok on the board.

    If the control board needs replacing on these Hotpoint’s do you need to programme the DEA601 control module. Sorry chaps but do not normally repair Hotpoint dishwashers.

    Yep, you need the dreaded ‘smartcard reader’ for that beauty…. 😕

    Thought that would make my mind up on repairs for the little critter.
    Another one hits the deck. Suggest a Bosch or NEFF to customer?
