Hi – being ex trade my friend asked me to help with her BI DW which abandoned the cycle and showed 10 on the display – I soon had it down to the heater. :rolls: Not very impressed with the access to this as it seems to be integral to a very nasty big askoll type pump and held with factory fitted metal clamps around the hoses. Meanwhile the thermistor is virtually falling out of the sump as the clips are barely gripping it.
My question is can you get the heater on its own and how to deal with the hose clamps?

Its an Indesit, what do you expect. 😥

The heater assy is available as a separate part…C00256527.

Some people try to refit those clips with side cutters. I discard the clips and refit thin jubilee clips most of the time. Due to the very young age of this machine I have not actually seen one in the flesh, is it not still under warranty?

    8) Thanks Iadom – just out of warranty as it happens! Looks like an SOB to get at the heater can, being on the nose of the motor as it is. I take it those clips can be prised apart?
Prolly taken the PCB as well!

If the PCB & heater a goosed then it would be cheaper to let Indesit do it under the five year parts warranty.

The only way to get the clips off is to prise them off taking care not to stab yourself in the process. 😥
