Hotpoint LFT321 – draining problem

Our Hotpoint LFT321 integrated dishwasher isn’t draining. There’s standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher, and a flashing ‘3’ error code, which confirms (I think) that there’s some sort of problem with the outflow.

I assume this is likely to be a problem with the drain pump, but my question is whether this is something I can research and fix myself, or should I call out a pro? I’m not a mechanic by any means, but I was able to fix some minor problems with other appliances after reading the advice on here.

The dishwasher is integrated, so I assume this creates added difficulties?

Any help, advice, comments appreciated! 🙂

At the best of times they’re a bit of a hassle to get to so, if you’re not confident, I wouldn’t advise trying in all honesty.
