ParticipantHi,
I have a Hotpoint LS12-EVO3 and ECO light is flashing (far RHS) next to the select function switch. The selector switch won’t select another function.
I have tried resetting by holding the selector switch down for 5 seconds.
Any ideas & help gratefully received.

Is it quite old, there is no technical information on this machine and many parts are obsolete.
Where does it say EVO3 on the machine. ❓
There is no Hotpoint LS12, there are three old Indesit LS12 models though.
Did you purchase this machine in the UK?
Light 1 flashing on the early Indesit with electronic controls suggests a flooded base.
You could unplug the machine and then tilt it to one side to see if any water runs out ( have a few towels handy )

Juhad another check on the top of the door it says BFI620.
On the name plate it says model LS12-EV03.

BFI620 is an Indesit made, Hotpoint badged machine.
Integrated or not you will have to drag it out and tip it over to drain it out. If it then works fine it has possibly oversoaped. If it fails again quite quiclky then you have a leak into the base that needs attention.
EVO3 is just a software code. It will also say BFI620 on the rating plate together with the serial number.

Thanks for that.
I will give that a try.

Hi,
I have taken out the dishwasher & tipped onto it’s side.
Whilst out, I took off the base & this was bone dry.
Checked the pump wasn’t blocked.
Checked the heater, this was 25 ohms, so ok. As read on the forum that this might be the problem.
Ran a rinse cycle and rinse led flashed at the end.
Ran a wash cycle & “ECO” light was flashing at the end.
Any other ideas?
Regards
G

Well you could take it to join many thousands of other very late model Hotpoint & Indesit machines at the local tip.
The electronics are very suspect on these so any really illogical faults often point to the PCB. 😥
Light four flashing is a no heat fault so if the heater is OK then the PCB is almost certainly the cause of the fault.

Ok, thanks for your help.
The dishwasher is only three years old!!!
Have had a quick look the PCB is about 70 quid.
Is the PCB mounted in the door?

Two different PCB’s, both £58.33 ex vat. Full serial number needed to identify.
At three years old its already on borrowed time, its an Indesit, a poor quality Italian made machine, although some do come with even more doubtful parentage and are made in China. 😥
The PCB is in the door near the left hand set of lights & buttons. Be sure to unplug if you are going to have a look and watch out for the edges of the inner door, they are razor sharp.
