Hotpoint mains cable/filter – problems

Does anyone know if these are giving a problem? Part No C00203264 m/c model WF100

Went to one a couple of month’s ago tripping ELCB and tested down to earth.. fitted new cable/filter asy.. had to go back today to change part again as same thing..

Just wondered if anyone else had problems.. are they just cheapo rubbish or might there be something else causing the fillter to break down to earth in such a short time..

hi, you’ll prob find the filter is fine, its the plug that shorts out, just cut off & replace

Yes.. good tip..

They are not like the usual molded plug lead where you can disconect the lead from the capacitor/filter so next time I get one I try that first..
