Hotpoint Mistral 8596 Fridge/Freezer

Hi All,

I’ve read many threads on this forum which has helped immensley but still I have problems and I can’t find the answers. I’m hoping you guys can help!!

Last Saturday, for no apparant reason, my fridge/freezer (which lives in the shed and has done for the last 18 months) lost temperature. The fridge was at +13 and the freezer was at + 15.
After reading this forum, I ordered both thermistors and fitted them on Tuesday. I turned the fridge/freezer back on and two days later the temperature has not improved.
I have hoovered out behind the base grill (which didn’t appear to be that dusty) I have checked that the fan in the freezer (behind the back wall) works by not plugging in the Yellow Thermistor and turning the appliance back on.
It would seem that the freezer is not becoming cold, therefore not pushing cold air up to the fridge, and yet I don’t know which part is responsible for making that happen.

Please, Please, Please can someone fix it for me to find out what the problem is??

I have also checked @repairs and I do not have an engineer in my area (CV6 1DF). It’s driving me nuts now!! 😈

Is the compressor running?it’s the black dome type device at the rear of the machine.
listen to see if you can hear it and see how hot it is after a few hours running.
Is the motor making any clicking or buzzing noises as opposed to the normal humming etc ?
