I have that all too common of freezer at -22C and fridge at room temperature,
Changed the thermistors one at time, yellow first, then green and finally fridge thermistor.
Removing the yellow operates the fan for a while until I get the ‘E’ code saying thermistor is open circuit so fan is ok.
PCB seems to give the correct error codes when other components are disconeccted
    Motor runs ok
Disappointed as I’ve spent a fair bit on thermistors
    Can anyone help please
    Thanks

since you say the freezer is working ok

from what I can see (and I cant find tech from that model no) cold air is taken from the freezer and blown by the fan into the fridge. to control the temp there is a motorized valve which if stuck closed would cause your symptoms

Hi Dave thanks for responding. It seems the fan never turns. Fan seems to be ok because it runs if I remove the yellow thermistor.

I am not sure but on the units I have seen there is only 1 fan and since the freezer also relies on this it would mean the freezer would not function either

well you know the ntc’s are ok and you know the fan runs all that is left is the main board. If it is the main board you also need to check if it needs programming

you could ask QER (do a google search) if they can test this module and repair if necessary

but I cant promise 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} its the answer as you can imagine

it may be an age thin but cant access any tech on this one. you could look on the rating plate (normally in the fridge behind the salad trays ) and see if there are any other references so I could pin it down

Hi Dave thanks for keeping in touch
Just to be accurate the freezer has 4 drawers and I’ve just noticed the top drawer is slightly warmer as the food in that drawer has almost defrosted. I’m guessing that has happened due to fan not running as according to the user manual the top drawer should be colder than the others.
Thanks for letting me know about QER, I want to see this through and send the circuit board to them but the missus doesn’t want me to spend any more money and she doesn’t want the food that’s still frozen to defrost while the board is sent away, she wants a new machine.
    I wonder who’ll win.

to be honest m8 there is frozen and frozen

water freezes at 0 degrees but that’s not cold enough to store food safely for long periods

the lower the temp the longer its safe for

do you really want to risk it ?

No Dave won’t be taking the risk. I’ve given it a go but now her indoors has put her foot down and ordered a new machine.
Thanks for your input though it’s much appreciated. 😀
