I have read various posts on the “fridge getting warm” issue with the hotpoint mistral FF72P but I am not clear as to what thermistors are required and would be grateful for some assistance.

The freezer is a constant -22 and the fridge normally runs at +4 but a week ago the fridge went up to +18. I read an earlier post regarding ice build up so I checked but didn’t find any and defrosted anyway. It has been ok for a week but the same has happened again today.

I notice a lot of talk about thermistors but I am not sure which one/one’s I would need.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

There are three with this model, plugs are colour coded, yellow, green and white. Yellow and green are in the freezer compartment and white is in fridge area. Change the yellow and green available from shop@ in the sidebar.

many thanks. will order from the shop as you suggest.
I presume these are fairly easy to change. Just take off panel at rear of the freezer and then it is a case of a straight swop?

Yes – power off first of course and if its frozen up its a good time to defrost again. Be careful removing the coloured plugs from there socket as they have a habit of falling to bits.
