ParticipantHi All
I have a Hotpoint Mistral FF80PR, I have recently cleaned and defrosted it (including the compressor and coils), the fridge that is working with temperature fluctuating between +3 and +7. It’s the freezer that’s the problem the temperature fluctuating between -10 and -7 it will not drop any further (it still freeze). You can hear and feel the compressor and fan working, I have switched off the appliance for 24 hours, but no change. I believe it’s a defrosting or Thermistor problem, can anyone help.I think Don from UK Whitegoods is the person, if so could you tell me the part, its costs and shipping details, any help appreciated.
Thanks for reading

There are 2 fans in these a condensor fan and an evaporator fan, which fan is running if it is the the condensor fan you will probl’y need a thermistor or evaporator fan motor.

Hi johnnyj
Both fans are working, you can feel the fan in the freezer compartment circulate the cold air to the fridge compartment.
The problem is the freezer temperature fluctuating between -10C and -7C it will not drop any further, I have read that the freezer temperature have to reach -16C before the cold air circulation fan will properly regulate the fridge temperature. Thats why the fridge is working with temperature fluctuating between +3 and +7 (around the set temperature of +4C)
If it is the thermistor, which one is it? There are 3 Yellow, White and Green.
Or is it a defrosting problem, constantly on a defrosting lopp?
Thanks for replying

Any help on the next step??Thanks
