HOTPOINT Mistral FF92 – Error Code and something wierd

Hi,

I have got a hotpoint mistral FF92.

its been off for about 2 months.
Switched it on and all was fine for about 24 hours.

Fridge got to +3
Freezer got to -22.
And there was frost in the top draw only.

After 24 hours the following is happening:

Fridge stays between +7 to +10
Code showing on the display as EE which i have looked up and EE means “Defrost time out”

If i switch it off and back on again the follwing temps are displayed:

Fridge: +7
Freezer -22

Any ideas on what the issue can be?

answer to my own question.

EE error problem is to do with a problem on the board.
Got another board and it has resolved the issue.

When i powered the FF on and held the save button, it kept coming up with a P1 error.

Replacing the board has fixed all the issues.
