Hotpoint Mistral FF92S Fridge temp high, freezer works OK

Fridge temp high but freezer shows -22 or thereabouts. Freezer compartment works OK.

Fridge fan removed and connected direct to 240 AC works fine.

Have checked thermistors by removing and warming with hands. Resistance drops suggesting they are OK, HOWEVER can they still be faulty?

If not please give me other suggestions.

Frank, did you fix this?

I’d suspect the motor-operated baffle between the freezer and fridge compartment, or something I experienced a few years ago: ice build-up at the entrance to the tube in the top-left of the freezer compartment.

Make sure you can blow air without restriction through that vent pipe using a hair dryer or similar. You’d need to remove the condenser cover in the freezer compartment to check it.

Thanks for your reply. No its definitely not that. I only got your one reply so I’ve given up waiting and ordered the thermistors.
