Participantcommon?
and you base this theory on?
since you dont have a scooby doo what the problem actually is how can u assume its common?
honestly…..
take off the kickstrip at the front and clean it out….. thats probably your answer

Hi
yes take the front kick strip and vacuum it out as if its caked in fluff then this will reduce the cooling efficiency.
The most probable cause is that the fan sensor that is in the freezer section has failed which is causing the circulation fan not to run.I would advise an engineer visit.

typical male i bet presuming things well maybe a women but i had cleaned front back out and took it to bits hoovered it all out der and now been defrosting for 48 hrs so wont know til tomoz it was domestic enginer site that recomended me to you well we all get it wrong they said it was prob thermostate or pcb its most common with hotpoints obviously not knowing your stuff dont expect you to know doing research its a common fault on hotpoint on this site and others thats how i know so get your facts right very rude person thats what people join this site for is answers maybe.
So answer to your stupid question thats how i know these things as for paying for someone to come out i can buy a new one fridefreezer 135 quid so wouldnt even bother well thanks for useless advice something i could have told you. men go this site for answers they seem to know what they are on about god know why they sent me here http://www.refrigeration.com they give good advice

ok, enjoy that £135 fridge freezer, sure it will be a cracking machine!, the thing is if you spent £100 on the one you have it will outlast the £135 new one for sure

Participantyour 21 years too late with your insult
ill say it again, your basing your comment on something you do not know
u dont know what the fault is, so how can u say its common?if a fridge is not getting cold, then yes its faulty, but other makes go faulty as well, not being cold in a fridge is the ONLY fault youd get
AND, since someones told you it might be a thermostat problem suggests that that person knows very little about that appliance, since its digital, and doesnt actually have a thermostat
i stand by my original statement… what you said made bad reading, the samsung consumer brigade do it all the time, stating things that plainly arent right, based on what they read on a handfull of posts
this site is very helpful, you’ll find that people will missenterprate what you type
maybe if youd just asked the question, you may well have got a much better structured response
regardless off all that, i will ask you one thing, because, despite your perception of my post, im only trying to be helpful
when you open the freezer door, does it seem overly warm around the outside edges of the freezer?
could be your answer……..
and you wont buy a comparable machine for ‘135 quid’
but then, what would i know?

Hi
I still think that the problem lies with your thermosistors in the freezer compartment, causing the freezer fan to run erraticly.

yes prob its gone back down now to +2 the fridge which is fine with me and not a peep out of it no noise in fridge or fans running it quiet as a mouse at mo all i can do is see ow it goes and decide what to do trouble is if it isnt that ive wasted money and that could be towards a new freezer i know its only 13 quid but i dont think i could fit it havent got a clue i took the pannel off in freezer and behind the foam was a fan and two round connections plastic one yellow one white dont now what they are but found no green and yellow connections not sure on my model where it is and how to replace is there a link on how to do this cos i might give it a go are they in freezer bit behind panel have looked on this site but cant find good description of how to replace and where to find it might be woth 13 quid to replace it see what happens
its funny how its working ok now any way can you give breif discrip how to find and replace this thermister thing thanks now ive heard like a generating humming sound sound in fridge and freezer like the fan is spinning fast or something so dont know like you say difficult to say could be what you say ill have to wait and decide but in mean time that how to would be great ai am pain in bum well if not any better tomoz will replace thingy bob what you said if not bin it
